 Primary School Links

This year we move into the third year of our Sharing Education Programme, which sees our teachers teaching Germand and Spanish in at least sixteen local primary schools.  The very special element of the Sharing Education Programme is that our link schools are partnered across the sectarian divide, and children learn together in mixed classes, hosted in each others schools.  The learning has been immense, for all the adults involved as well as the children.  Shared parent evening classes in Spanish have also been part of the programme.  The programme is coordinated by Queens University Belfast.

Our aims are to give primary pupils a taster of learning a language. Classes are made to be fun and “hands on” and we use mime, drama and song to bring languages to life. Pupils are building up a language learning portfolio which can be found on the following website: www.nacell.org.uk
